Tasked with the project of designing and illustrating the 2023 Burns & McDonnell holiday card for employee owners and clients. Here I created a bi-fold card that had gold foiling, textured paper and embossed details. The main idea of this card was to provide a leave-behind. With that I created this card with the intent for the nutcracker on top to be able to take off and be used to be hung on a tree, desk, etc.

The idea behind the nutcracker was to bring joy and prosperity into the employee and client’s home during the holidays. On top of the nutcracker’s helmet, a gold string was handcrafted and looped through as a hook. On the back of the nutcracker was a unique description of the history of the nutcracker and how it relates to the company.

The inside of the card includes a warm wish for the reader for the holiday season and the signatures of the executive board of Burns & McDonnell. There was more gold foiling and embossment included on the spread as well.
